What Mission Teams Do In Haiti

There are four basic project groups:
Construction and rebuilding projects,
Medical teams to serve those most in need, Bible schools for children and,
Food distribution for hungry people.

Construction Projects

Teams will be involved in projects that serve the church and the community. Projects will be determined before hand. You might be helping to repair buildings damaged by the earthquake. You might be helping build a school, clinic or church. All work is done by hand including mixing and pouring cement. Haitian workers will assist the mission team.

Medical Team

Mobile medical clinics will be held in churches, homes and schools. Stations are set up to see patients. Each station has a medical professional an assistant and an interpreter. Ailments are often related to malnutrition. A pharmacy will be set up to dispense medicines. We are looking forward to the completion of the new clinic located at the Cazeau Campus. It will provide a better service for the Haitian people.

Bible School For Children

Bible Schools is one of the best ways to share the Gospel with children. This is where many children first hear about Jesus. Preparations will be made ahead of time and you will be given an assignment to prepare and bring with you to Haiti. Children love Bible School.

Food Distribution To Hungry People

Through difficult times, the Haitian people need help to make it to the next day. Haiti Relief provides food for hungry families. Since the devastating hurricanes and the recent earthquake, Mission To Haiti has distributed almost 600,000 lbs of beans and rice in family sized packages. Nutritionists agree that beans and rice is a staple that provides a complete protein.
